Sizing and Measurements
Our garments are a free size with standard measurements ranging from piece to piece. We understand that as preferences differ from customer to customer, it may be necessary to customise your garment when ordering so it is tailored to your individual needs. We offer a free of charge service for alterations on made to order items, and a small fee for those garments which you may wish to be customised after purchase. Our signature "hidden ribbons" are universal, allowing the wearer to tie around the waist on the inside and pull/cinch the dress in for a more figure hugging look if desired. See our youtube video for a demonstration here.
If you wish to alter or specify any measurements when ordering, you can add your requirements to you order notes as you check out in our online shop. You can also contact us directly if you are unsure. (*for lengthening of dresses there may be an additional charge).
If you are unsure of what maxi length to go for we would advise choosing between 125cm - 147cm depending on your height/size and where you would like a garment to hang to. The centre of the kaftan will always be the shortest length, as our kaftans are designed to be longer at the sides than at the front to create a draped, bell sleeved effect, so do bear this in mind when deciding where you would like your dress to hang to.
Our Standard Measurements range between -
Length (top to bottom)- 127cm - 150cm approx
Width (Top and bottom) - 110 - 145cm approx
cuff hole length - approx 12 - 30cm
Neck (from the top of the shoulder/neck to to the point of the V) - approx 31cm V-neck, 40cm low V-neck plunge or 60 cm diameter round or slash neck
How do i take my measurements?
To get an idea of your desired length, we advise taking the measurements of another garment (laid flat) as a guide from the centre point (shoulder/neck) to the bottom. This will be the shortest length, in the centre, as our kaftans are designed to be slightly longer at the sides than at the front to create a draped effect, so do bear this in mind when deciding where you would like your dress to hang to.
We make a lot of dresses to order so can help find the custom measurements for you if needed. Once we have your desired measurements we can keep these on file in your customer account for any future orders.
